Reverend Valerie D. Hicks. Valerie began her time at Bethpage on November 1, 2021.
Valerie had most recenly served at Stephenson Presbyterian in Monroe, NC as the associate pastor at Steele Creek Presbyterian in Charlotte, NC for 10 years.
Valerie has a Masters of Christian Education from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education, Richmond, VA and completed her Master of Divinity at San Francisco Theological Seminary. Valerie loves communicating the faith and helping people grow in their journey as disciples. She believes that the good news of the gospel is for everyone and welcomes all to worship, learn and serve together.
Valerie lives in Cornelius, NC with her husband Bill Weatherington, and together they have seven grown children and four grandchildren. She enjoys bicycling, water skiing and camping.
